Hello, my name is Matthew Montalvo, I am 18 years old and a freshman at Chico State. I am from a small town called Manteca which is located in California. I am really into anime but I am not so into it where I would get anime merchandise or body pillows; my favorite genre is Slice of Life and my personal picks for shows would be Konosuba and K-On. I am an avid gamer, I really love the RPG genre but I despise the sports genre, my favorite games at the moment are Destiny 2 and Overwatch.  Why am I making this blog? In my Journalism class, we have a blog assignment which spans the whole semester. So, what will my blog be about? I thought since I am a gamer and I am afraid of dark spaces why not step out of my comfort zone. My blog will be focused on Scary Game Reviews, I will be exploring the genre as a whole over a series of 10 games. The games that I pick will be all new to me, nothing I have seen on YouTube. The only thing that I’ll know when going into each game is whether or not it was a good game review wise. I will attempt to put a video but if I can’t get it to work then I’ll record my gameplay and post that. What will you gain from reading this blog? When I write these reviews, they are coming from a person who is terrified of each title in one way or another, this won’t be one of those basic reviews of the game from an expert horror reviewer this will be from a scared individual so don’t expect me to catch every detail.
